OPEN DAY & GUIDED WALKS
BOAT SHELTER, THE OLD RECTORY, SOMERTON ROAD, WINTERTON ON SEA NR29 4AW
We're joining the celebrations for the 2nd annual Norfolk Day on Saturday 27th July 2019. As an important piece of Norfolk's heritage, the Edward Birkbeck is one of the last few remaining 19th Century Norfolk & Suffolk Pulling and Sailing Wooden Lifeboats. Now, you can come and see her for yourself - look, touch and imagine what it must have been like to put her to sea in the middle of a storm in the 19th century before modern lifesaving equipment was invented.
Find out more about the restoration work and the story of the Winterton Lifeboats.
